April 10, 2026

Our parish is blessed by the decision of these adults & children to journey in faith with us.

At this year’s Easter Vigil Mass five adults and five children were  Sacramentally Initiated into the Church through Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion. Our parish welcomes them and their families and thank all who were involved in the preparation and the Mass itself: Fr Shane, acolytes and altar servers esp. Andrew Fricot, the Liturgy, Welcomers and Hospitality teams, the Samoan choir, Diane Redmayne (Coordinator), parish sponsors, godparents and not least, the parish secretaries Patricia Wicks and Stuart Lake. It was an inspirational and blessed experience for all present.

Easter 2026 Initiation for Adults and Older children

DID YOU KNOW THAT Easter is the ONLY time, unless there are extraordinary
circumstances, that the church baptises adults, teens and older children and that
the preparation period begins at least 10-12 months before Easter. The Initiation at
the Easter Vigil includes Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion SO if you
know someone who may be interested in finding out more about being a catholic-
without any pressure to make decisions yet- NOW IS THE TIME TO CONTACT OUR
PARISH OFFICE, OR SEE THE PRIEST OR SR Jill after Mass.
Want to know more? Go to the parish website for a description of the different stages
of the RCIA journey- the home page has an interactive button called “Thinking of
becoming Catholic?” There are also stories of those who have made this journey in the
past few years in the News section of the website.
